László Timaffy's dedication to the Szigetköz region began in his childhood. His love for the landscape and his extensive knowledge fostered a deep understanding, leading him to examine the lives of both the water and the people working within it as a unified whole. He consistently sought to uncover these interconnections, searching for the unique characteristics of the region even when he expanded his research to the areas of Rábaköz and Hanság.
