To use the services of the Library, except the basic services, you must be enroled. You can enrol at the ULA:

• all Hungarian and foreign citizens over the age of 18;
• all persons under 18 years of age with a student card, under the guarantee of their legal guardian;
• in the case of persons with severe disabilities, guarantors;
• who are not in debt to the libraries of the ULA network.

Enrolment is for a calendar year, and membership must be renewed each year. The Library charges an enrolment fee (See: Fees).You must provide proof of exemption from the enrolment fee or eligibility for a discount.

You can enrol person at the Central Library or at any member of the faculty libraries. Regardless of where the enrolment is made, the acquired rights and obligations apply equally to all libraries in the ULA network.

Documents required for enrolment:

• identity card, passport or driving licence;
• address card (for people with a Hungarian address);
• if you have university card (student, staff, or library card);
• in the case of persons under 18 years of age, a declaration of surety completed by an adult guarantor holding appropriate identity documents;
• proof of entitlement to a discount (student card, pensioner card, disabled person).
