Interlibrary loan
If the Library does not have a document in its collection it may be asked from any other library in Hungary or abroad via interlibrary loan. In the case of an article or part of a book one may ask a photocopy.
Interlibrary loan can be asked by personally at the information desks at the 1st floor, via telephone (96/613-717) or via e-mail from Eszter Marek (mareke@sze.hu).
Lead-time is usually one week. After receiving the document we send an e-mail to the given e-mail address.
For how long may I borrow? Is it possible to elongate it?
The deadline and the possibility of elongation are always determined by the sender library.
We do not ask documents via interlibrary loan that are:
- owned by our Library but are borrowed
- not borrowed by the owner library (pl. old books, manuals, theses, etc.).
What does ILL cost?
Basically the service is free of charge. The costs of requests from abroad or in photocopy have to be paid by the patron.
Like in the case of normal borrowing, overdue fees and/or costs of losing or damaging the documents have to be paid by the patron, as well.
